Everything comes together here to make this highly anticipated Far and Wide proof that the British band The Pineapple Thief is far ahead of the pack and possesses impressive technical and emotional depth. From the art of making a richness and precision in composition, which have become rare, seem simple and obvious, to the album’s understated, if not minimalist, artwork. Don’t be fooled by appearances! This album is nothing less than a little gem of humanity.

Since their reunion in 2019, and over the course of four albums, Pure Reason Revolution, have managed to establish themselves among the bands capable of blending influences as diverse as Pink Floyd, Porcupine Tree, and Nirvana, infusing their decidedly progressive sound with an unbridled energy that is undoubtedly their trademark. This new album is one of those works that reconciles you with a genre, an approach that’s almost stylistic, certainly sonic.
