For over 20 years, Gozu has been crafting an unapologetic brand of stoner rock that stays true to its Black Sabbath roots but has been shaped just as much by the sounds of Kyuss, Alice in Chains, and Metallica. How can all this be reconciled, other than through extremely heavy, uncompromising compositions—a veritable wall of sound upon which Marc Gaffney stands proudly, his grunge vocal range a perfect fit for the genre?
