GAMI is certainly capable of drawing on every possible source, skillfully and respectfully drawing from decades of very different sounds to channel the fusion-like energy that now flows through their veins, allowing them to deliver this surprising yet incredibly powerful debut album, Underneath, whose richness in both composition and performance is just waiting to be unleashed on stage.

Niklas Källgren’s excellent guitar work, combined with Daniel Israelsson’s powerful and inventive drumming, makes the tracks on this Truckfighters album, V, true masterpieces, where the spirit of Kyuss blends with the spontaneity and musicality of Karma to Burn.

Everything comes together here to make this highly anticipated Far and Wide proof that the British band The Pineapple Thief is far ahead of the pack and possesses impressive technical and emotional depth. From the art of making a richness and precision in composition, which have become rare, seem simple and obvious, to the album’s understated, if not minimalist, artwork. Don’t be fooled by appearances! This album is nothing less than a little gem of humanity.
