Destination: record stores
Last year, Shakears magazine introduced its feature series highlighting record stores, “Destinations Disquaires,” which aimed to showcase independent retailers through the eyes of music enthusiasts. A unique perspective, to be sure, but an informed one, as always. And now, several criteria are used to highlight the work of these essential players in cultural distribution, operating on the fringes of the major retailers. So, little by little, you’ll find in Shakears a kind of sensory map of these places where music and artists remain more important than revenue!
